Many patrons rave about the authentic flavors resembling those found in Lahore. The lamb handi and chicken seekh kababs are standout items that guests describe as melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The freshness of the ingredients and the attentive service earn high praise, with multiple visitors noting how the chef personally checks in to ensure satisfaction. The 'platter' is a crowd pleaser, showcasing a variety of starters that allow for a great sampling of what’s on offer.

Another highlight is the traditional desserts like kheer, recognized for its homemade quality and perfect texture. With prices being reasonable, customers often express delight at the value they receive for the quality of the dishes.

Most Disliked

Some guests have mentioned that the menu, while authentic, sticks closely to standard Lahori fare, lacking innovative twists found in more modern Asian restaurants. A few diners desired more variety beyond the typical offerings. Parking, while free, can be limited during peak hours, creating a slight inconvenience during busier times.

A handful of reviews indicated that wait times can occasionally be longer during lunchtime rushes, although many felt the wait was justified by the quality of the food. Overall, the few complaints pale compared to the glowing reviews about the food and service.

Found this newly opened restaurant on Stockport road Manchester, the decor and atmosphere looked great, the owner warmly welcomed us, although the menu was “typical” like any other Lahori food restaurant but the thing that makes it different is that the food ACTUALLY tastes and smells delicious EXACTLY like Lahori food! We ordered masala fish which was one of the best literally melt in mouth masala fish! The chicken seekh kababs were delicious and the Lahori channay were spot on 👌🏼 The lamb handi was sooo good, the meat was very soft and tender and again one of the best lamb handi. We also tried the kheer which was again one of the best homemade kheer you would get in Manchester. The chef even came to the table to ask if the food was good which was a very nice gesture. Can’t wait to try other dishes and Yaqoob’s is definitely going to be among one of our favourite places on Stockport road!!

Our first time visiting Yakoob’s and certainly not our last. The food and service were amazing and the waiter who served us was very pleasant and friendly. I’d especially enjoyed the chilli chicken and the lamb curry on the bone. The garlic naan and roti was very soft and delicious. The zarda was warm and cooked to perfection. It’s been a very long time since we’ve tried good authentic Pakistani food in Manchester. Great tasting food, defo worth a visit 10/10.

First visit to this place and i have to say the service was excellent, very polite and professional. The chef is from lahore pakistan and he did not dissapoint in producing what I can confirm authentic lahori cuisine... Everything tasted fresh and was well presented. The platter is a must to try, alongside the chicken tomato karahi, desi charga... you won't be dissapointed.
